Triple Negative and Herceptin

Cam has just added Herceptin to her Carpo and Gemzar chemo.  Her Dr did a CTC test which was at 8, and tested each cell.  4 of the 8 expressed HER2  even though her tumors tested negative.  She has had 2 treatments with this combo and her skin mets are going away.  I do not know if the herceptin is helping because she has had good results in the past with just the Carpo and Gemzar, but it feels good to be adding another tool in the mix.

Please keep us posted on progress.  This is very hopeful and there is new science by way of Herceptin with tn because it might turn it estrogen positive and thus treatable with other types of meds.
