Annette....sometimes pms, BC, life has a way of making us let it out...sometimes there is a message other than what we spew...and it is usually stress-related....like my yelling at my boss my 2nd last day of rads....it had been a long time coming so while you may regret what you said and how you said it....think of yourself like a volcano...at some point, the magma is going to rise!...
Sherry- Glad you too are getting together with galpals. I have been bopping all over the place hanging out with girlfriends this year....a month ago , I hung out (a ladies who lunch kind of event) with my two best pals form jr high....galpals rock!!

A WOMAN'S WEEK AT THE GYM
This is dedicated to everyone who ever attempted to get into a regular workout routine
Dear Diary,
For my birthday this year, I purchased a week of personal training at the local health club. Although I am still in great shape since being a high school football cheerleader 43 years ago, I decided it would be a good idea to go ahead and give it a try.
I called the club and made my reservations with a personal trainer named Christo, who identified himself as a 26-year-old aerobics instructor and model for athletic clothing and swim wear.
Friends seemed pleased with my enthusiasm to get started! The club encouraged me to keep a diary to chart my progress.
________________________________
MONDAY:
Started my day at 6:00 am. Tough to get out of bed, but found it was well worth it when I arrived at the health club to find Christo waiting for me. He is something of a Greek god-- with blond hair, dancing eyes, and a dazzling white smile. Woo Hoo!!
Christo gave me a tour and showed me the machines.. I enjoyed watching the skillful way in which he conducted his aerobics class after my workout today. Very inspiring!
Christo was encouraging as I did my sit-ups, although my gut was already aching from holding it in the whole time he was around.
This is going to be a FANTASTIC week!!
________________________________
TUESDAY:
I drank a whole pot of coffee, but I finally made it out the door. Christo made me lie on my back and push a heavy iron bar into the air then he put weights on it! My legs were a little wobbly on the treadmill, but I made the full mile.
His rewarding smile made it all worthwhile. I feel GREAT! It's a whole new life for me.
_______________________________
WEDNESDAY:
The only way I can brush my teeth is by laying the toothbrush on the counter and moving my mouth back and forth over it. I believe I have a hernia in both pectorals. Driving was OK as long as I didn't try to steer or stop. I parked on top of a GEO in the club parking lot.
Christo was impatient with me, insisting that my screams bothered other club members. His voice is a little too perky for that early in the morning and when he scolds, he gets this nasally whine that is VERY annoying.
My chest hurt when I got on the treadmill, so Christo put me on the stair monster. Why the hell would anyone invent a machine to simulate an activity rendered obsolete by elevators? Christo told me it would help me get in shape and enjoy life. He said some other shit too.

THURSDAY:
Asshole was waiting for me with his vampire-like teeth exposed as his thin, cruel lips were pulled back in a full snarl. I couldn't help being a half an hour late-- it took me that long to tie my shoes.
He took me to work out with dumbbells. When he was not looking, I ran and hid in the restroom. He sent some skinny bitch to find me.
Then, as punishment, he put me on the rowing machine-- which I sank.

FRIDAY:
I hate that bastard Christo more than any human being has ever hated any other human being in the history of the world. Stupid, skinny, anemic, anorexic, little aerobic instructor. If there was a part of my body I could move without unbearable pain, I would beat him with it.
Christo wanted me to work on my triceps. I don't have any triceps! And if you don't want dents in the floor, don't hand me the damn barbells or anything that weighs more than a sandwich. The treadmill flung me off and I landed on a health and nutrition teacher. Why couldn't it have been someone softer, like the drama coach or the choir director?

SATURDAY:
Satan left a message on my answering machine in his grating, shrilly voice wondering why I did not show up today. Just hearing his voice made me want to smash the machine with my planner; however, I lacked the strength to even use the TV remote and ended up catching eleven straight hours of the Weather Channel..

SUNDAY:
I'm having the Church van pick me up for services today so I can go and thank GOD that this week is over. I will also pray that next year my husband will choose a gift for me that is fun-- like a root canal or a hysterectomy. I still say if God had wanted me to bend over, he would have sprinkled the floor with diamonds!!! -
OMG...I'M ROFLMAO....BARBE THAT IS SOME REAL FUNNY SHIT.
-
Barbe - OMG - That is too funny. Just what I needed to get my day started.
-
Jo you up early this morning as well. I decided to take the plunge and start my tamox again last night. Even though I slept good it seems I don't sleep as long when I take it. Off today and was hoping I would sleep in this morning. No such luck.
-
LMAO!
-
Barbe....thank you! the perfect beginning to a day that started off inthe crapper! Might even make it to the gym this morning after that one!
-
Barbe...
-
Sherry - Are you taking the whole dose or splitting it? I did the split dose for about a week and then the whole dose at breakfast. Had some minor stomach queasiness but that went away. Now I just deal with the toe pains.
-
Jo-I am taking the whole dose, but it took 6 days before I started to feel any nausea and each day it got worse until day 12 it was debilitating. If It happens again and I have to call the MO I will talk to him about lowering my dose and then building up.
-
Barb that was great. I am starting my lunch time walk today since I'm done with rads. If I see Christo I will make sure I kick him in the street in the path of a fast moving truck.
-
-
too funny, I love it!
Teklya
-
Sherry - Why don't you start taking 10mg for a week or so and then build up. Just do it. Most MOs would not have a problem with that as long as you are taking something.
(((HUGS))) my friend.
-
Jo-I may give it a try. I just have the 20mg tabs but I have a pill cutter and can cut them.
-
the teethbrushing description bring such a visual!
-
Too Funny Barbe...LOL
-
-
Sherry - I have a pill splitter and you are welome to borrow mine - LOL!
-
jo! how are you? I have sleeping problem. It is 2.04 am midnight here in India, everyone has already gone to fast asleep. I dont know what wrong with me.. I just cant sleep. Only 4 hours left for sunrise.
-
it's almost 4 pm here on the east coast of the US. Sorry you can't sleep. Trouble sleeping from time to time seems to come with the diagnosis. Probably nothing is wrong with you!
-
raj - I am doing great these days. Sleep or lack thereof has always been a problem for me. It has nothing to do with the Tamox. If you are taking you pill at night, you may want to try switching to the morning. So sorry you can't sleep.
-
Jo-I'll be right over to get the pill splitter. LOL
-
E-fancy staircase?

Hi girl's Back from Maine. It was a wonderful weekend. We first went to pick up my niece at Uni varsity of New England. Met up with my sis and cousin. We went to the hotel and than to Portland where we found a restaurant called Flat Bread Pizza great food. They cooked the pizza right out in front of you. We went swimming at the hotel and ate some more. The next day we went to a candy shop where they had a 1700 pound chocolate Moose and 80 pound bear cubs all made from chocolate. If I can figure it out I will put a picture of him his name was Lenny. Than we drove to Freeport, Maine to LL Bean store and North Face outlet. Did some great shopping. A lot of great little stores. Than we rested a little while and went to dinner for LOBSTER not one but 2 for $19.95 what a deal. It was on a ship docked on the water. Drove home on Monday in the snow not so bad roads where clear.
I also had my Oncologist appt at 1:45 which she told me I will have to have Chemo, Surgery and Radiation. I have to have a pet scan on the 24th of Feb they have a tumor board on Thurs where she will speak with my surgeon. I see both of them on the 28th. Than I will have a plan. I just want to get this going. So hope you all had a great weekend.
-
I'm so glad you went Linnea, how many pounds is the moose now? ehehhhehehee

I thought to myself, "There is no way a moose of those chocolate-y proportions would NOT be pictured somewhere on the internet." I was right. Heeeerrre's Lenny!
