Anyone on Ixempra?

I just finished 11 rounds of Gemzar/Carboplatin but have to stop as I've developed a severe allergic reaction to the Carbo even with IV Benadryl.  Dr said she wants to use Ixempra next. I did some reading online and sounds like it's often paired with Xeloda.  I'm scared because with the Gemzar/Carbo I've kept my thin hair and have no side effects.  For the most part I feel and look normal.  I have mets in maj of bones, chest wall & lymph nodes.  1st dx was 7/06 with 9 cm tumor - 4 rounds of AC, dbl mast., 4 rounds of Taxol, 30 rads and reconstruction. Rediagnosed Oct 08.  I read a thread on the tnbcfoundation web site about women taking these drugs and it doesn't sound pretty.  I'm wondering if anyone on these boards is taking this drug and how things are going.  I have a PET scan Sept. 8 and then start new treatment Sept. 15.  I wish I didn't have to lose my hair. - Thanks - Kathy
