Hi I don't know if I'm on the right thread for this question but here it is. I finished my chemo which was Taxol every week with Herceptin every two weeks that is still going till January. My question is I am being tested right now for uterine cancer cause I have been having alot of pain and blotting and bleeding and other stuff that I don't want to gross you out with. They did a ultrasound of my pelvis and they said my uterus is enlarged and the uterine wall is thickened. I just don't know if this is normal to have these systems after chemo or should I be worried. Well all ready worried but trying to be calm. I am suppose to be taking Tamoxifen but I haven't taking to many of them. So I know that isn't doing it. Any advise will be helpful.

Thanks Lynn

    Lynn,

Call your oncolgist asap. Take the meds prescribed and do not panic. You will be ok if you follow the prescribed path. Wink

    Hi Lynn,

As you can see, I don't post often although I visit this website almost daily.  I don't have any experience with your symptoms and my chemo regime was different from yours but I wanted you to know that I agree with April and you should contact your onc immediately.  You deserve some answers and they should be able to tell you if this is normal.  I am also concerned that you say you haven't taken many of the Tamox--it is important to take any medication on a regular basis.  Once you make the committment to take Tamox, you shouldn't skip any doses.  Please keep us posted.  Hugs to you,

    Cinnabear

    Thank you April and cinnabear,

I told my onc and he acted like I was paranoid. I'm going for a D&C and Hysterscopy Tuesday. So I will found out than.I just didn't know if chemo can make your uterus enlarged. I'm just a little worried about taking the Tamoxifen when I'm all ready being tested for uterine cancer. And I'm really trying not to panic but it's hard. But thank you so much for your reply.

I don't think it is typical post chemo.

When I had unexplained bleeding (a few days before the mammogram that lead to my BC discovery), they did an endometrial biopsy.  My bleeding was considered suspicious because I was 56 and it had been about a year since my last period. Mine turned out negative. There were a few days when I knew I had a lump and was waiting for the breast biopsy and didn't have the results from the endometrial one so I can understand the feeling that every female organ is causing problems.

I assume that they will biopsy what they remove with the D&C.

If you do already have uterine cancer, then a few more days of Tamoxifen probably won't do much to it - but if you feel more comfortable waiting, I don't think holding off for a few days on the Tamoxifen will hurt anything either - I know some others have waited until finishing rads after chemo before starting on hormone therapy.

I hope you get good news.

Thank you bluedasher I will start taking the Tamoxifen when I know for sure it's not cancer. And yes they will be doing a biopsy of the uterine wall I guess and make sure it's not cancer. But right know it dosn't sound good. When the uterus is so enlarged and thickening of the wall. I have never been so scared of having cancer again. It helps to talk to you Lady's on here.

    thanks Lynn

Please hang in there lynn, you are going through a lot, I pray for you to have strength and courage.  I don't think chemo would cause the thickening and soon you will find out what the problem is and get a handle on it.  Try not to panick, it may be nothing.  I had bleeding and thickening in my late 20's and had to have a hysterectomy, it ended up being pelvic inflammatory disease and the surgery cured that but I think the hrt taken afte surgery contributed to my getting bc.  Please keep in touch and let us know how you are doing.  God bless.

    Hi spar2

Not very good. I'm getting worried that it is cancer again. They found a mass on my ovary that is 2.6cm. I'm just waiting for the results on the biopsy of the Hysterscopy they did on Tuesday. It's like the night mare of breast cancer is starting all over again. I haven't slepted in day's and just scared. Thank you for thinking of me. I just have to sit and wait. (which I hate).

I'll let you know when I know something. Lynn

Hi can anyone tell me what the difference is between pre cancer and cancer? The path report shows pre cancer.

that is good Lynn.  pre cancer I think means you have to keep a watch on it because it could turn into cancer.  I will be curious as to what treatment they give you.  My mom had precancer lesions in her mouth and they scrapped them out.  I will be checking on you for you appt the 25th.  hugs.
