very small hard lump in neck, possible lymph node
I am two years out and have found a small lump in my neck on the right side just above the hollow and above the clavicle. I've made an appt. with my Dr. but am worried about the information that I've read about recurrence in the supraclavicular lymph nodes. I'm not even sure it is a lymph node but everything I've read leans that direction. Anyone else with similar history or information that might help.

I went through a lot of this my first few years out, lumps and bumps in my upper chest and neck. A few times I went to my surgeon about it and it was always nothing, this is a lumpy area. You are doing the right thing getting it checked out but try not to worry.

I will add a 'try not to worry" too. My cousin was Dx about three years ago, and her Onc finally said to her "stop feeling yourself", as she was always finding lumps and bumps. I think they are very common. Worth getting checked out though.

I was Dx lst yr and now this yr March it came in my neck as well Lymph nodes so now i am going through treatment. I hope that it is nothing for you to worrying about.

Still Running,
Your timing on this question is really good. I had a follow-up appt with my Rad Oncologist on Friday and he felt all over my neck and clavicle area, and everything was okay. Sunday, I felt a small lump in the same area you are describing. Maybe it's not the smartest thing to do, but for now I'm just going to keep an eye on it. I'll keep you posted.

I had a lump appear on my neck at the end of April, in the same place. It was hard and swollen at first - it just appeared one morning - but was less swollen by the end of the day - and I was terrified.I was sure I had cancer. It's a bumpy sort of lump with a very hard pea sized lump in it. I have had blood tests/ultra sound (Dr confirmed it was lymph nodes swollen)/two needle biopsies and then another one using ultra sound so they could see where they were putting the needle. Some days it aches a bit, other days it doesn't but when it first appeared it was quite sore. So far, all has been normal. This week I have had a CT scan and am waiting results. Nobody at the hospital seems to know what it is and they don't seem to ask me many questions either! All this time I just wait and wait for apppointments!

I had a similar lump appear just a couple of months ago and it turned out i had an infection that caused my lymph node to swell..I immediately thought recurrence too and was much relieved when it wasn't...Good luck and i pray for B9 results too for you......

Did you have a small hard lump - smaller than a pea - in with the lump? The ENT department said biopsies were okay but I keep thinking they have missed something! Also my GP said it seemed as if the lymph nodes were filled with fluid cos the size has changed - the lump also swelled up once and became really hard, but went down after an hour or so. Nobody has even suggested I may have had an infection and noboby at the hospital has really gone through any medical history with me. At times I have felt as if I have a 'lump' in my throat when I swallow but I wonder if it is because I worry. I also had a camera put up my nose and my throat was okay. Was your lump on right or left on collar bone? Glad things turned out okay for you.
