Hi everyone,

My onc has told me that I"m probably stage IV as there are suspicious lesions on my liver and spine.  I have a PET scan and liver biopsy scehduled this week.  She also informed me if I had mets I would start with Taxol and also have Avastin.  Is there anyone out there that has had this regiment and can give me some info or advice?

This has been a nightmare as all I get is bad news from the onc.  The ironic thing is I've been under a dr's "care" since February 2008 for my breast "cysts".  There had never been anything diagnostic done other than the "breast specialist" feeling my breasts and telling me they were cysts.  However, I am ready for the fight.

So sorry your docs weren't aggressive!  I totally understand.

I'd get that liver lesion biopsied STAT!  Once they prove it's bc, they'll watch it more closely.

I'm in a clinical trial where Taxol and Avastin was one of the three 'arm' possiblilites.  But I was randomly chosen to get another 'arm' of the trial.  So far I have had one tx of Ixempra + Avastin.  Get another one this Friday.  It's three weeks of tx, then one week off.  I didn't have any side effects after the first tx.  Keeping my fingers crossed and prayers said.

When do you start your tx?  Good luck!  Hugs.

    Ruth
