Oops, Janet... I haven't heard of the Tailor X study or cyp2d6. The only test I had done was the BRCA and for some odd reason both my sister and I were negative. So you'll know your plan going forward on Monday??!! It sounds very positive so far! Your diagnosis looks very similar to mine, except my tumor was 1.8cm... no oncotype testing was done.
I pray your blessings continue!!
-
Prays, Praise the Lord, Great news!!! Your faith will be ten fold by each prayed answered.
-
Yes a flower child inthe midst of a huge city that had a reputation for it's number of killings per year. A dichotomy.
-
Sheila
You are so funny!
Prayersareanswered...yes they are! I am really happy for you, what a blessing
Theresa,
I have been exhausted too...I fall asleep after I get home, walk the dog and drink coffee....I'm waking back up for prayers.
-
Oh Theresa,
I got fitted for my sleeve and glove today too! They have to order mine, so I think I will have to wait until Thursday. I did get my x ray, and I really don't think anything is broken, but it would have been nice if they had sleeves and gloves in stock as the glove gave me nice stability in my wrist. It's tight isn't it?

On the prayer thread you can add multiple people to a singular posting , just as Michelle did all of our postings for the St Jude novena. It would actually be better because then it doesn't get over long. When you re-enter do edit , add date and name and intention. If the Intention is complete then do the same thing by edit and put date complete and why (if appropriate). This will save much space . Space is important because when we run these to be sent off too special places, it reduces pages and ink. Does that make sence? Remember the point of the thread is we don't lose track of whom we are praying for, it's a reference point. Short and to the point. If we allow it to get overlong then people may by passed. I entered one for my family. I will enter that same field when I want to add someone, and initiate it by date.
Glad to see beginning postings on the prayer page, You all have already started to put a title on the prayer. Thats important. If someone has a special need of a certain type of prayer, It allows them to key in quickly.
With either site there is a lot of viewings already. They are only a few days old.
Don't let it unsettle you if we don't have lots of postings , they will come in time.
Theresa, any chance you could start to review from the beginning page on your way into work and transfer some of the prayers from the discussion page to the prayer page, I don't have a clue in a moving car if that is workable, but it's at least worth a question?
Laura-OTGH it will all come to fruition in time

Watch out for nerve comprsession with any sleeve or gaunlet. Took several weeks for 3 hours of nerve compression to return to baseline normal with one wearing of sleeve. Signing off now so I don;t bust into prayers again ---see you in a few.
-
yes, I will need to get the wisdom of others regarding the sleeve and glove.
may i complain loudly for a minute before prayers? I have lidocaine patches all over my left side and below boob...PT for lymphedema flared up my boob again. I was told this could be expected, but it hurts to sit up, I am wiped out and cranky pants!!! (please excuse me...prayers are probably a good way to get this out tonight...
-
Sheila: You're so funny! :-)
I can't do what you ask in the car, but I can start to do it. No problemo.
That's an excellent point about the intentions page.
Can you explain nerve compression a little more? My sleeve *is* tight, as Traci indicated, but my PT said it will stretch in time, but I'll only be wearing it when I fly at the end of the month... it's a 6 hour flight, I'm supposed to wear it an hour before taking off and an hour after landing, so that's 8 hours. Should I start stretching it out now?
Traci: They had to order mine too, but it came quickly. Today she showed me the proper way to put it on and take it off.
Well, I'm here for prayer time... I need to do St. Jude!!!!
-
Traci: So sorry to hear you're in pain, tired and cranky pants. I will hold you up in prayer.

Lord, now you let your servant go in peace; your word has been fulfilled:
My own eyes have seen the salvation which you have prepared in the sight of every people:
A light to reveal you to the nations and the glory of your people Israel.
Protect us, Lord, as we stay awake, watch over us
as we sleep, that awake, we may keep watch with
Christ, and asleep rest in his peace.All-powerful God,
keep us united with your Son
in his death and burial
so that we may rise to new life with him,
who lives and reigns for ever and ever.May the all-powerful Lord grant us a restful night
and a peaceful death. -- Amen -

Theresa--if the sleeve is too tight it will put pressure or compression on the Brachial nerve and it's branches. The three main branches to the lower arm are the radial--affects thumb, 2nd finger ,median1/2 of 2nd(?)and 3rd finger 1/2 4th finger, Ulnar nerve 1/2 of 4th finger and all of 5th finger. Bottom line if sleeve or gauntlet causes numbness ot tingling of anything it is ttttoooooooooo tight. If left on too long can cause permanent nerve damage. I have no education in sizing sleeves. But what i have told you above applies to anything that is put on th upper arm. Wrap, cast, bandage, anything. That is why questions like "do you have any numbness or tingling after surgery on the arm, or anything that may affect the arm (like lymph node dissection), Post surgery positioning questions where arm may have been affected during surgery, Application of anything to the arm that puts pressure on these nerves--------Paulas questions about N/T with her radiation therapy. Compression as I explained to her can be caused by swelling of tissues surrounding these structures. This assessment of N/T should be ongoing and addressed as soon as the are identified. If you are whereing a new sleeve and it causes numbness to distal extremity__hand__ it is too tight----TOO much info-- not info?

THANK YOU for this prayer! I am a one year survivor; I just had my first mammo and US yesterday and I saw a lump in the same breast where I had cancer. Now I am waiting to hear next steps. I am a believer and now that my fate is in GOD's Hands. This prayer is beautiful and I know that He will heal me in HIS time. I will pray this not only for me but for the others who have posted here with their fears and sickness. God Bless You, Patty8 PS, this is my first post and first time on this site. I know that this is NOT a coincidence!
-
Hi Patty,
Divine Guidance
I'm so glad you posted here! How wonderful you landed here on your first time at this site. And just so you won't be frustrated, there is a posting limit of 5? posts a day, and I am sorry I don't know when that changes (others could fill in my blank here.) The PM (private message) function does not have any limits, so you can always contact one of us that way. There aer many different threads here, and several delightful prayer threads. I have very much enjoyed the company of the women here due to the acceptance of all, and the deep spiritual beliefs of all. We come together and pray, and I have to admit, after tonight's prayers, I am much more centered and peaceful. I am very sorry that you are facing more tests, and I pray this is benign. Have the MD's given you a plan yet?
