I often wonder if some of those of us triple negatives who are white actually have some small amount of African blood in us.  It occured to me because I was told that that was the case on my father's side. 

I believe that some huge porportion of Nigerian women who have breast cancer are triple negative.  Some overwhelming number like 85%.  Also, although I do not have the BRCA genetic mutation, I was told by the genetics doctor at Stanford that that fact does not mean that I do not have some genetic mutation.  It could just be some genetic mutation they have not yet identified.  

I am so glad to see them studying this.   My daughter is half Somali but I don't know whether triple negatives are common in that ethnic group.
