I love spending time with my grands out and about
-
BBQ'ing, patios, fancy drinks with umbrellas and hellicopters flying out of them !! Looooooove summer!!
-
Balmy nights when the sky is clear and you can watch for shooting stars and listen to the crickets and frogs. The smell of blooms on the breeze. Also the fact that it stays lighter later. I'm not a morning person and in the winter months I feel cheated when it gets dark early!
-
NO snow- no 50- below zero - no icy roads aaaaaahhhhhhh summer.. .....Tami
-
Wearing thongs (they're your flip flops I think) and daylight savings - eating breakfast, lunch and dinner "al fresco" ..... sigh
-
Going to the Fairs and eating snow cones.
-
Weekends at Hideaway Beach Campground where we own a lot and have a trailer home for past 24 years, and the longer days.
-
Outdoor concerts in the park where you bring a lawnchair or spread a blanket and enjoy the free music!
-
going to the store at 9:00 and its light out.
-
Lots of things!! Getting home from work with plenty of light left in the day to do fun stuff outside, going to the pool with the kiddos, and watching the fireflies that come out in the evening from my front porch. Oh, and going on vacation with my family, of course!
-
Hearing Families out enjoying each other, In the winter its dark when
parents get home. Families are together alot more in the summer.
-
Enjoying my gardens in full bloom.
-
lightening bugs and locust sounds.....stars ......
-
Watching the baby birds learn to fly, They have nest in the neighbors yard and the babies
fly to my tree and cheep for mom, blue and gray birds.
-
Being in the garden with my dad.. I still love spending time outside with him in his garden or flowers... I praise God is is 76 and still doing all those things like he was 50.
-
I love being able to walk outside....
I love the warm weather...and being able to go out wihtout being bundled up.
I love spending time with my grandboys....Watching the baby (just turned three) discovring how much fun a wading pool can be....
I love the early sunrises and late sunsets...I am not allowed to drive when it is dark, so my world gets bigger in the summer....I have a lot more freedom than I do in the darker montohs.
Frsh fruits and veggies are a treat....And Ice Cream....Yum....Cold lemonade....barbecues with the family....Soft summer nights....Light breezes that feel so good....The feeling of sun on my skin...
Ahhhh...Summer..It doesn't last nearly long enough!

Not having to turn the lights on till later.
Being able to see the beautiful flowers, beaches and other
gifts from God.
-
I love to have places to go on hot days.
To share my garden with my friends.
-
Warm temps, a gentle breeze and the beautiful sun (something we haven't seen much of this summer). I saw a lightning bug a few weeks ago. I haven't seen one in years!
-
Each summer year I get to enjoy seeing alot
of the eldery get out and walk cause its safe
for them and I see their smiles.

Gods art work with the clouds and stars.
-
People smile more.

playing in my veggie garden aDn finding the time to be creative. Anyone who is interested. I am a breast cancer survivor(DCIS) Cancer has ravaged my family. To help me work through all of it I have decided to write a musical. I'm completely serious But musical won't be. I'm great at lyrics and I'm currenly working on that the the actual play. Could use some help from talented cancer survivors. I have no money this is a labor of love for me. And am hoping to find some kindred spirits. My mother, sister, and aunt are all cancer survivors I have one aunt who didn't survive my mother will not either . Hers is lung cancer very long story..Anyway sometimes we all know we need a good laugh and a lot of hope. I will be happy to provide details for anyone who would like to know more. I envision it as kind of a Mel brooks like treatment. I honestly think I survived to make this a tribute to my remarkable mother who against all odds is still here but losing her battle. I'm sincere this is no come on. If anyone has ideas or any advice or connections please let me know. Bless you all. You can reach me at ctraulsen@yahoo.com
