Good evening, it has been a couple of weeks.

I saw the Dr. aster my mammo and ultrasound and mri. He looked at my breast and all in all did not see anything that caught his eye. He said ibc is a clinical diagnostic and does not see how this could be ibc. I asked him to explain the difference in size and he said well you are the one tell me they are now different, I never saw them before. I asked about the pain and he offered the hormonal theory and I told him I had a total hysterectomy including ovaries in 1999. Now he could not explain the pain. But he feels confident about not being IBC. There is a new mass that has developed next to the nipple. I go back for another mammo and ultrasound next week to ckeck on that and he also wrote check on mets. In the meantime the skin continues to change and the pores on my skin are getting bigger and bigger so that when I get goose bumps they are humongous. The inside of my nipples continues to hurt. A vein that goes to nipple is enlarged and engorged. I still have the occasional pain under the armpit. By the way, has any one of you found that the breast in question seems to leave bed marks more than the other.

I chose this Dr. because he is a breast specialist at a breast center here in Albany. He acted as if he new all about IBC. I should have asked how many cases he has worked with.

Thanks.

Linda

GO BACK and DEMAND a skin punch biopsy- especially the mass next to the nipple- don't take no for an anwswer- go to a different Doc if you have to.  Just my thoughts.... Tami
