Recently Diagnosed with Breast Cancer

My mom has just been diagnosed with Breast Cancer last week. She has been in the hospital going on 3 weeks. Her breast cancer has spread to her spine which in inoperable. She has breast cancer in both breasts. I am overwhelmed with all of this information. My mom who is in her 70's has complained about back pain for over a year now. We took her to her Doctor ,she was admitted several times.I just can not believe that they never did a CT scan on her. Maybe I should have been more proactive in her care. She has never even had a Mammogram!!  Her cancer doctor aid that they will try her on Femara and see what happens.She is having Radiation to her spine every day. which has helped her with her pain.A surgeon is supposed to take a look at her next week to see if the lumps in her breast can be removed.She has a lot going against her.Sorry for ranting I am just so confused. My dad has a bad heart and is elderly,my older brother lives with them and he has had a severe stroke.My younger brother leaves hundred of miles away.There is onyl me.
