Do you get stressy about technology?  Have questions about it?  Let's pool knowledge here so we know at least where to begin fixing things or getting them to work.

I'll start.  I always have a technology question or two.  Laughing

Just bought a Serius radio for the house.  One of those little Stratus5 receivers with an auto kit (for only $9.99!!!) plus a boombox docking station for the house.

Now, the indoor/outdoor antenna works hardly anywhere in any of my windows but I can get two bars in a few places.  Unfortunately, I don't want to use the radio in those places.  If I mount the antenna outside I will have trouble in the winter with it being covered with ice and/or snow.  (Why didn't I think of this beforehand???)  So, I am limited to using some spot in the house.

I have been reading on the Sirius site about a signal transmitter/receiver kit, which is about $130, that I can plug the antenna into.  It should broadcast throughout the house so that the receiver, which will be plugged into the radio, should pick up the signal anywhere I place it.

Two questions:  Has anyone heard of this or had experience with it and does it work?

Three questions, actually.  Radio Shack has a signal transmitter/receiver set for about $99.  They tell me there that it will work the same as the Sirius set.  Will it?

Okay, no one knows about the signal thingy.  Here's another kind of off-the-wall question.

My new netbook has a built-in webcam.  How do I use it and how can I tell if it's on?  I have horrible dreams of someone seeing me sitting there in my natural state of glory typing away.  Yikes!  Do I have to put tape over the eye???  LOL  Tell me, please.

    Tina,

This thread has me chuckling! I'm afraid we'll have far more questions than answers! And the sheer volume of questions may scare off any techno-savy sister or brother here!!

I have a DH who's handly with this stuff, thank goodness! And I'm not uber-techy, but I fell in love with my sister's iTouch and Kindle. But my budget and ability are more for the Ninetendo DS!
