Ohh..  Dream Team is right!!!!  I love that Dr. Slamon is involved in such a large scale research project again!!!  YEAH!!!  I'm hoping my enthusiasum isn't misplaced and that they discover something.  Thanks Fairy49

Also, there is a thread about progesterone (againSmile) and I find it interesting how it is really not used in this research - it's mentioned but really not as a target  (did I read that correctly?)  again supporting the position that medical science really doesn't yet know what PR+ means to bc... Thanks again!!!

Deirdre! Your enthusiasum is certainly not misplaced!! I am thrilled that they may actually start treating the patient and not just the disease, one size does not fit all!!  I actually found this by trying to find more info on progesterone and BC survivors..... I read today somewhere that Progesterone is found in all cells/tissues in the body, have a ER and PR +++ tumor just means that its found in the tumor, I don't think it means it actually feeds it, I haven't found one negative thing about progesterone as yet.......

Glad to hear about the progesterone since I was 100% +PR, 100% +ER.
