Strontium for bone mets/ any info?

Options

I just posted this on the iv forum, but thought I might get more info here among you all.

I am stalling on going on zometa, and in my plight, I discovered a book by Alan Gaby MD Preventing & Reversing Osteoporosis. It mentions strontium and a study done by the Mayo Clinic in 1959. Strontium was used for bone mets and bone pain was either diminished or alleviated and new bone was grown. Further research was not done, no $$$$ for the big guys. Can't patent it.

Nothing more until the 1980's according to the internet. I picked some up at the holistic pharmacy I go to. Do any of you broad minded folks know anyting more about it?

I created a couple posts on zometa already. I had 4 root canal teeth pulled, one was a potentially new root canal that had an abcess and I opted for getting it pulled. I had done some research last year on root canal teeth and the connection between them and reoccurrence in breast cancer. I just was having a hard time making my mind up to pull my teeth. Seemed harder than losing the breast. But once I got the news the cancer had spread from neck to knees, I went ahead and had them yanked, Now waiting for bone to fill in my jaw. Oral surgeon said necrosis happens alot more than they tell us; thus the reason for my stalling. I had to go 3 rounds of antibiotics and developed liver pain and a red spot on my abdomen. I knew this to be liver toxicity from what occurred a year prior to my dx. Of course at that time the doc's were telling me it was psoriasis, when I learned the dermatologist didn't know skin disorders are related to liver function I opted out of his care! Went on a couple cleanses and cleared up the rash. Haven't found a westren med dr whose expertise I trust.

I leave today to go back to Illinois for updates on my progress. I went to Cancer Centers of America in hopes that they had the alternative mindset and might be easier to coordinate all the aspects of my protocol, but found that not to be the case. Do any of you know of an open minded onco that is familiar with hormone positive cancers in the Kansas City area. (please don't say the word belt!) I want someone open to nutrition and energy work.....presently working with a natureopath and a pharmacy but neither the two agree....do you know what I mean? Had that problem when I was working with acupuncture too...no agreement. Yet discovering all had good insight in some respect. Just hard to get them to work together. Makes me feel I need to get my phd!

 Blessings to you all.
