Can Brain Rads Cause Hearing Loss?

Has anyone had experience with some loss of hearing from brain rads?  My friend with Stage IV IBC had 3 weeks of rads upon her initial diagnosis about 2 1/2 months ago and I have noticed a startling hearing loss in her when we speak.

    Thanks for the reply Bonnie.  I really appreciate you taking the time to research this.

     My friend, BJ, is still having a hearing loss problem but it doesn't seem any worse.  Poor thing, she has gone through so much.  BJ's husband passed away just six weeks after her diagnosis.   I think she'd doing great just to get through the day.  Tomorrow I take her to get another bone scan to check on her bone mets and we are praying for the best.  

    Sometimes, even though I am just a friend helping her, I feel the strain of this enormous mountain she and all of you are climbing.  God bless.

    Yes, one of the side effects of brain radiation is hearing loss because of the hardening of the wax in the ears....so I have read.
