it says; infiltrated duct carcBloom richardson score 2+3+1=6 grade 2 with minior of low grade duct carcinoma in-situ and microcrocalaflcation.

 does this mean i am both IDC and Dcis  thank you sheri

Sheri, yes it does...As a matter of fact most women with IDC also have some DCIS as DCIS is the beginning of IDC........DCIS just means that the cancer has not moved beyond the duct whereas IDC means that it has moved outside the duct (invasive)........

Sheri sorry you had to join our club but you will find lots of help and support here form all the beautiful ladies here........I have been coming here for over 2 years now and these ladies have been my support and inspiration........From what I see in your signature you have a great prognosis and will be doing great for a long time....What surgery are you opting for?.....I opted for a bilat with immediate TRAM reconstruction because of strong family history (2 sisters, mother and possibly grandmother)......We lost our mother and 1 sister and our grandmother........

i opted for the mastectomy left breast no famliy history that i know of i think my dads mom had it she only had one breast but aunt said she did not have it.

  i in some ways wish dr would have taken other on but he will not do that not sure why but will quistion him on that in july.

 i am doing great   hair coming back and i will not wear a wig figured i went though alot for this nit so bald head now i will show it off lol  thank you for posting hugs sheri

I have basically same diagnosis as you. I had a lumpectomy 6/15..how are you feeling after your mastectomy? Did you have chemo before your surgery?

i felt really  good after surgery was very easy. not emotionally though. surgery was jan 7 2009

 still  hate looking at it  sometimes wish i would have had both off. i had chemo after mastectomy.
