Happy Easter, Saint!!
He is Risen. He is Risen, Indeed!!
She is risen. She is risen, INDEED!!!!
Tonight in the BCO chatroom function, 2nd room, we will be having a 'send-off' for Saint. I'll get there early and light the bonfire. Bring your own marshmellows & graham crackers. Chocolate and drinks will be provided.
Starting around 7:ish p.m.
Bring a story or come hear a story. Come share with others who loved her, what she meant to you..... or come read-along for the sake of camraderie.
I think the 'room' will only allow about 50 people cyber-ly. If somehow you don't make it in, please light a candle and send us your strength and your encouragement.

Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.
Strength and courage.

Dream. Thanks so much for posting the pic & obit for our gal.
This is the first I've seen the picture. She had it professionally taken by her favorite local photographer, who came to their home. She described it to me in such detail that I feel as if I've already seen the picture. If we were to see the full image, she is seated on her bed, surrounded by her fur-babies. She described in detail the skirt she is wearing.
She orchestrated this entire shoot, as a surprise for Greg. It was initially to be his gift for Father's Day..... one thing and another kept happening to delay the process. Now I can't remember if she gave it to him for his birthday, Christmas, or anniversary -- which are all in a matter of a couple of weeks. There was quite a story about 'retrieving' the finished product from the photographers, due to a big snow-storm that brought ice. Photographer perched on side of hill. Not wanting to risk life and limb, but so wanting to get the finished product into her/his hands.
Now I long to see the full picture.
Thanks again, Dream. Could you post it on the other thread as well??

Yesterday we came out of the movie-cinema and I turned on my cell phone.
And then I stopped.
Right there in the blindingly bright FL sunshine and started crying.
This picture has been on my 'phone' since I got it brand-new.
It's always greeted me with a smile when I use my phone.
Yesterday it's bittersweet nature struck me for the first time.
We won't be talking on the phone anymore:
Saint's daughter Molly was the photographer, in their kitchen. Last June, on the last day of school. We drove the 8 hours to their kitchen, after my final strum of the day, arriving around bedtime. We were both suddenly cold and climbed into our hubby's sweat-shirts. This was an experiment: can we get a cell-pic to FB on our own? I think you can see how truly delighted we were to rest in each other's arms again.

I think this is the first picture that I ever took of Saint. Our first meeting.
End-of-June, 2007.
It was the day that I finished radiation treatment #33.
I tied the ribbons on her scarf as we drove north.
That's Alphie her Chemo-pal.

Her hair was just growing back, from treatment.
We didn't think to pose a Saint & Faith together shot, on this initial encounter.

OMG. I didn't remember this picture! Found it in an ol' FB album.
It says I added it in Sept...... so that must have been on our return home trip at the end of the summer.

What a treat, dear Faith. Thank you!

Wow...just got home from bible study and had a beautiful experience on this thread. First I got to listen to the link of Molly singing "I Love to tell the Story" with her dad accompanying her on guitar then the montage of pics. Thank you! Prayers are surrounding you today, Pat's family. We are there with you in love and spirit. love to all...
-
Dear Faith....Thanks for sharing the beautiful memories. you always kept us connected to Saint.
I didn't know her or talked to her. What I'm reading she was a beautiful woman inside out.
Its a sad day for all of us here.

Dream, thanks for the obit for our dear sister......WOW.......Seeing the obit really brought it home that our sweet Pat is truly gone......
Faith, thank you ever so much for the montage of pics.....I remember a few of them from last year, especially the Wilson Ice Cream pic.....I really got a hoot out of that one........I will be there tonight to help give a grand send off for our wonderful sister.......I wonder who I can contact in the Papal System to nominate Saint for true Sainthood?............Her wit and wisdom and caring will be sorely missed here......Another wonderful loving voice has been silenced by this horrid disease..........As I always ask at this time, how many more, Lord, how many more, til we have a cure and we stop losing our friends, family and loved ones to this wretched disease?..........
Man many hugs to you all on this very sad day.......... -
Faith, what beautiful pictures full of sparkling eyes, making each face glow!
Thinking of Saint's family.
Thinking of you Faith, I can imagine how poignant your mobile phone pic is now.

Faith, thanks for the montage of Saint. On this holiest of holy days, she's with our Father - Wow.
Today and tomorrow will be the hardest for the family so prayers are earnestly going up for your strength.

Ladies,
That florist is a JOKE! When I called, they had NO IDEA about this... that you can send a single pink rose... the 1st time I called, the operator told me that she was merely an answering service, but when I called back later, the answering recording said: You can order flowers 24/7... WTH??
I am so upset, but I wasn't able to place my order....

RIP, Saint...
-
harley - after hours they just have an answering service ... the pink rose was a special for saint and only the staff during working hours handled it ... someone bought spares so you might be able to put your name on one of those if there are still some available ...
-
Awesome, wonderful memories. Thanks for sharing.
-
I love all the pics but the one I really REALLY love it where Saint's nose is squished up against Molly's face.....with a kiss.
-
Harley call Monday first thing and ask them to put your name on a spare one - they are wonderful at the store
-
Thanks Faith, I loved the pix. Hugs
-
RIP my friend.
I didn't get a chance to order a rose but I will send some money for Molly's trip. I know the trip meant so much to Saint.
I envision her sitting around catching up with the sisters we have lost. I smile thinking of she and Watson together. What a pair in heaven.
Blessings to Greg, Luke, Molly and her extended family.
Thank you faith for all you've shared.
Hugs
