I just got a FB message from Saint's daughter, Cinderella.
Saint was admitted to the hospital yesterday morning.
According to her DD, they have her 'doped' up quite a bit. She then went on to report that just now saint's been laughing and acting more like herself.
I know that Saint felt that she needed and wanted to be in the hospital, so I'm grateful that she has gone there for support.

It's a new day, Saint.
I've been following your prescription for my activity level and have been to the treadmill already this morning. Since I was there as an early bird, it gave me quiet time to send prayers on your behalf. You know how Allen likes to have the first tee-time, so I dropped him off before the sunrise, keeping him a happy camper..... since our Buckeyes lost last night, this will give him some therapy. He, too, of course is concerned for you and sends his care & greetings.
I sang songs to myself on your behalf..... remembering the times we've sung together over the phone. What a pair! The stories we've shared.
It's been a while since we've had one of our lengthy-marathon conversations and I find myself having them one-sided, by myself. I insert your laugh at all the precise moments where you'd chuckle at my antics. Then a tear or two cascade at a memory jostled by your laugh.
I hope I have the opportunity to read everyone's encouraging sentiments to you. I know that they will cheer you forward.

Hmmmmmm Faith - one-sided conversations, marathon no less, and inserting Saint's laughter at precise times - isn't there a psych name for that??
Saint, praying for you to be back and able to talk to Faith soon.
Blessings.

Dear Saint, all over the boards all over the word, your BCO girlfriends are thinking praying and holding you near in their heart across each day.
I hope your return to your trusted team in hospital (hope you are on your prefered ward with your prefered team) has brough you some of the comfort and releif we have all been praying for on your behalf. Perhaps the hospital team can manage the pain issues better there so you can concentrate on your priorities without that all engulfing pain in the way or everything. Maybe it gives you space to breathe and think, and rest. I pray for your comfort and peace in your heart and strengh.
Sending loving "vibes" to you, your darling DD,son husband, Saint-sister and all your family and close supporters.
Faith, xxxhug. thinking of you lovey.

I have just gotten word from Saint's husband Greg...... there is nothing more that her doctors can do for a "future" for our sister-Pat. It is unlikely that she will leave the hospital, tho as he said, "she has fooled us before."
They are attempting to modulate her pain.
This is spring break for both of the kids and they are sitting at the hospital, awaiting the coma to envelope their mother completely. There is heart-break a plenty.
Greg asked that I invite additional prayers for each of them. He also specifically asked me to thank everyone who got involved in the birthday-card shower for Pat.
He said that he doesn't expect the coma-phase to begin today or tomorrow, but soon.
Right now all I can do is report this news. I can not yet take it "in." Thank you to each of you who have expressed your concern for me, too. It has been one of the greatest joys of my life to have come to know Pat.... and I have been honored to share her with you, more fully.
Let us pray earnest prayers of support to her immediate and extended family.
Pat had always told me that when she was 'done' she wanted to go 'quickly.' This is my most ferverant prayer for her..... for her family. That she not suffer.
It's Holy Week and heaven is prepared to receive a Saint. May the timing be ordained by our Creator. May we all pray Pat's prayer: the prayer of acceptance. She has lived a noble life thru the unthinkable, now may she be rewarded as only heaven can offer.

I lift Saint up in prayer.
-
I broke my personal rule and actually prayed for Saint. It ended the Mad at God stage but only with respect to her. Now I am feeling very selfish because my tears are for myself. My grief. My memories of a dear dear friend. I dont want her to be another angel.
-
Dearest Saint, you have rallied in the past and we would like you to stay with us, your DH and your children, but we know how hard this fight is and so we willingly release you to talk with our Lord and between the two of you, decide. Will we, your sisters, be saddened, for sure, yes, but Psalm 157:3 tells us that the Lord heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. We who have a strong belief know that this will not be the end, instead it is a glorious beginning with the Father - how super cool is that!
No, we don't want you to go as we don't want to lose any of our sisters and my prayer is that a divine miracle will settle upon you but not my will but the Lord's will be done.
Dearest Father in Heaven, I lift up my sister Saint to you, that you will give her comfort, ease her pain and let her feel your presence all around. Please fill her hospital room with the knowledge that you are there for each of them while they wait, pray and petition. Help Saint's DH and children through this extremely difficult time and keep their faith in you growing and strong.
To God be the glory.
-
Saint, I pray the pain is being managed. I have read Faith's post over and over and still I can't believe what she has written. Bless you, your family, your friends. I feel blessed that our paths crossed if only in a very small way. I am sorry for the reason why. I wish you peace. Sending my gentlest hugs to you and your family.
((((Faith))))

Sait I am praying for you also. I would like a miracle but I know it must be what our Lord wants. I am proud to be here with our bc sisters, holding hands, and offering our prayers for you. God bless you!
