Gee, I know Internships usually don't pay but I thought at least they would pick up the housing. Will he have to pay all costs, including food, transportation and entertainment? That can cost Mommy and Daddy a good number of Euros!
-
Meece wont be here to tuck us in this weekend.
We have to learn self tucking LOL
Good Night patoo, Meece Joni, JO
Good Morning Ainm.
-
Night All! Patoo, this is her 1st out of country experience. Last year they did inner city work in San Fran, but I think this trip will be very eye opening for her. She is originally from China, adopted at 16 months, so she doesn't remember, but she's seen the pictures. I am glad she's going, but will be glad when she's home-travel in Mexico is a little dicey right now!
-
-
Joni, I know you will be stressed but remember to whom she belongs! She will be fine and will have a great time.
I have 2 adopted sons; one I adopted at 6 months; he just turned 26 and the other I adopted at 2-1/2 who is turning 23 in May. The younger is out on his own, living in NY and making his way somehow. The other has cerebral palsy, lives at home but works full-time at the company where I'm employed. We'll be hanging out this afternoon - he's a Disney fanatic (that's how he copes with his lonliness) at a store that has all kinds of comic and Disney paraphenalia (sp).
You are blessed that your DD continues to want to work for the Lord. Mine have both turned away but I pray that one day they will reconnect with Him.
Hi everyone - enjoy this great afternoon.
-
Patoo- they will. I was gone for about 22 years & I found my way back! It's much sweeter when found again after all the "me, myself & I" crap we go through.
-
How are you all doing?? Nice day here today, stayed dry and the sun made a rare appearance. Still needed to light a fire tonight though.
Patoo - DS has to fund accommodation, food , petrol (gas) and entertainment himself. His airfare is covered and he gets the use of a car - what's the cost of living like there, I'll have to try and figure out how much I'll have to give him to feed himself etc. But he is really delighted to be getting this opportunity as the experience will be invaluable and it will look great on his CV.
Night all!!
-
Happy dreams Ainm. Don't know the conversion (I think we are the only country that can't convert for others) but petrol is supposed to go up to $3.00/gallon over the next few months. Depending on what kind of food he likes, how many meals a day, plus snacks, meals may run from US$30.-$60. per day - less if he cooks or microwaves his own. Cost of entertainment depends on what he likes to do. When it gets closer PM me and I'll give my phone numbers for him.
Night Seyla. Night JO. Night Eph3_12. Night Joni. Night Meece.

Night, Patoo, Night Seyla, Night, Jo, Night Joni, Night Garfield. DS#2 was the last of my chiuldren to come to the lord, and he was baptized last Sunday night. It is a wonderful feeling as a mom.

1 EUR=1.35 USD.
Ainm..If you give him 40 EUR that is equal to $54.00. Sweet Dreams or maybe Good Morning.
Good Night patoo, JO, Joni, Meece.
Meece...Weren't you going away this weekend for your Birthday?
-
I am away. We just got back from dinner and a long walk on the boardwalk. Really foggy here today.
-
Good evening ladies;
Meece; congratulations on the salvation of DS#2. that is wonderfu. my 23 yr. old DD rededicated her life to the lord a few months ago. She had turned her back and went to the Drug world, now she is drug free and has been for 8 months. I still have 2 DS's that need to get right again. One especially. This is my prayer every day as their parent.
Got my shorter do today. and I really like it. I think I will keep it after it comes back in. I've gotten alot of compliments on it.
Well it time for bed so I can get up and go to church in the AM.
-
Thank you. I cut my hair shorter one week before I lost it, and I don't know if it was because I knew I would lose it, but I loved that cut for that week.
Tucking everyone in. Good night.
-
Good evening friends. Was another lovely day here. Took a walk but now fighting spring allergies. I love this time of year and dislike it at the same time! Took 24-hour Claritin, 8 hours ago and still have runny eyes and nose. Guess it takes a couple of days to start working? Meantime misery is my companion.
Sweet dreams Ainm. Night Seyla. Night JO. Night Meece. Night Joni.
Congrats to all who have wayward children return to the Lord - I know there's still hope.
-
Sorry barb_k, didn't mean to leave you out. Blame it on my sneezing spell I'm having right now. (yes, I covered my mouth!)
-
All the time!
-
Amen.
Anyone ready to be tucked in? At the coast and the weather is cool enough for hot cocoa.
-
No offence taken Patoo. And yes Meece I can be tucked in. Have to get up early for my IV/PO/CT scan. I'm really tired of punching in the time clock and paying them. I need it the other way around already!!! Good night all!!
-
