Hi Girls

I can't bear to burden my family so I just want to vent a bit... After a terrible year last year healthwise, this year I've been feeling great (apart from tamox side effects)!!

Just waiting (booked July) for uplift and reduction of other boob and revision surgery of my replacement reconstruction after my recurrence in the skin.  I had a clear mammo/US last October/Nov.  Saw onc today:  Palpable hard lump approx 3cm x 1.5cm other boob and thickening.

...I had such a good prognosis, stage 1 grade 1 originally.  Just praying it's a cyst or pseudo lump!  So now the wait....I'm not worried, I'm not stressed, I just feel kind of sad.

Nikkix - I am praying for you too that it's a cyst or something benign.  Hang in there, we are here waiting to hear from you.

Hi Nikkix -- I can understand why you are feeling sad -- you just don't trust your body any more!  I too am hoping to dodge the third bullet.  Is it really possible we could have bc twice and have the third time be benign?  I'm not even telling my family, I can't put them through the stress again until it's absolutely necessary!  My first bc was in 1992 at age 31 -- lumpectomy, rads, chemo.  Jump forward 15 years to 2007, diagnosed with a new primary in the same breast.  Mastectomy, DIEP reconstruction, ACT, now tamoxifen.  A few weeks ago I began having shooting pains behind the nipple of my "old" breast.  At first I thought it was because I was doing a lot of heavy yard work, but something just felt funny.  Mammo and ultrasound showed nothing, but my surgeon expressed blood.  MRI today, waiting for results before doing a biopsy.  Could be a papilloma, but with my history I'm not optimistic.  Hang in there and maybe we can both get good news.

Sabrina we are about the same age..!   I so feel for you getting you first so young.   Gosh that's really rare to get a new primary in the same breast, but at least better than a recurrence.  I pray your MRi will be clear...

I've been swinging from "who am kidding...it must be..."  to "it'll be a false alarm....".  However with a week to wait til appointment, everytime I feel the blasted thing it seems it gets bigger and more irregular in shape...!  Sometimes I convince myself that it's smooth then I feel it again and it's pitted!  My brain says prepare yourself for the worst...but I am still trying to be optimistic.
