Does anyone know if they make padded mast bras? I had left mast april 30th. I'm just barely an A cup, my form is a Truelife harmony silk size 3. I always padded in certain clothes before surgury and would still like to on occasion. Thanks for any help.

I've never seen any mast bras that are actually padded.  The closest to padded are the molded stretch-foam t-shirt type bras, but they aren't padded.

You might try a regular bra.  If any of your pre-mast padded bras don't have an underwire, you might be able to make them work by sewing a pocket in them.  You might be able to simply put a cover on your form and wear it in the bra without a pocket if it doesn't shift on you.  However, I'm an A cup myself, and if I don't have a pocket, the form does have a tendency to migrate towards the middle.

If none of your old bras work, Warner has a new bra in their comfort line that increases your projection by a cup size.  The fabric is  very soft.  The best thing to do would be to go and try some non-mastectomy bras with your form and see how they work for you.  You might be surprised how many can actually work.  If you can't sew, you can always have a tailor put in a pocket for you.  You can buy pockets from TLC and other on-line mastectomy suppliers.

Good luck!  It really is an adventure, isn't it?

Thanks I will try your ideas. Yes it is an adventure. I already went through my clothes and got rid of stuff I know I can't wear anymore:(  Being an A  is bad enough, but I could always pad to make things fit right, now it's going to be even harder, but I will try the Warner. What store sells them?

YES they do make padded mast bras.....I have always worn them since my mast; however, I am in UK and get them from a mail order place called Nicola Jane - Google them and see if they will send to the US.

I am also an A cup and find I get a good shape with a padded mast bra. They are also very comfortable and reasonably nice looking too.My only gripe is that the straps could be narrower.

    Good luck!

Not a stupid question at all!  I'm a "not quite A", too, and it took me years to figure out a solution.  I wear a molded cup T shirt mast bra from ABC bras (style 105).  It's called a "Petite" Tshirt bra and the cups are slightly padded.  In addition to the prosthesis in the mastectomy side, I put a small form in the other side.  You can use the type that are meant to even out breast size for people who have had a lumpectomy. Or anything that's advertised to "add a cup size."  I have a foam one in that cup now because of the warm weather, but during the cooler months I was using a silicon shell.  (Sorry, but I don't see any identifying marks on either of these.)  By doing it this way, you can make any mastectomy bra into a padded bra!
