Avemar-Has anyone taken this

Options

I am trying to support my immune system and fight this cancer any way I can.  I just read about this fermented wheat germ product that makes some pretty exciting claims.  Sloan Kettering even agrees with the claims.  Has anyone used this?  How is it working out?  There has to be something, not just these deadly chemicals (which of course I am taking!) to fight the fight.  Any info out there?

Dear Patty, I will be starting it soon, apparently it works well with our profile and well with tamoxifen which i just started, I will post about it after about 3 months (as they say that's when you'll be able to tell that it's working well.  It's been used in Europe for along time and in the studies it shows that is slows or stops mets (which I need) and instead of eliminating estogen from your body, it does an action that disallows the cancer from getting the glucose it needs....

I hope others have tried it because I'd like to know how they are doing too.  My onc is in charge of clinical trials here at my cancer center (UNM Cancer Care) and she feels it's an excellent substance to try and she's looking into other trials that may be happening around it.

    much love

    Christine

I'm interested in this supplement also, but it is very expensive, especially in addition to all the other supplements many of us take. I cannot possibly afford it right now, but would like to hear if anyone else thinks it has been of benefit for them.

I was given a sample and information sheets about it at a Natural and Alternative Breast Cancer therapy conference that I went to recently.  They briefly spoke about how wonderful it was, along with maitake mushrooms and so many other food items.  You can PM me if you want to hear more about what I learned.

I don't know if they have it every year.  This year was the first time that I heard about it through the Adelphi University Breast Cancer program.
