    I have been on Tamoxifen for 1 year which to my understanding stops the menstrual cycle. To my surprise I had started on the 13th month. Has anyone else experienced this?

    My girlfriend is about to start taking tamoxifen.  Her doctor didn't say anything about stopping her menstrual cycle but did mention other risks.  It may increase the risk of uterine cancer and it can be hepatoxic.  One nice thing about tamoxifen is that it fights bone loss.    

    I know men at the gym that take tamoxifen (we know it by the brand name Nolvadex) as a post cycle therapy drug.  In men, it fights aromatization and tells the hypothalamus to start producing testosterone again.  Arnold Schwarzenegger and many other famous body builders used to take it.
