Good News!

I just wanted to share this with you ladies to give you something positive to look forward to.

I had my last Herceptin 12 weeks ago and, until a few days ago, was really struggling with my energy levels.  I would wake up in the morning and think about when I could have a nap or get to bed to go back to sleep.  I was training pretty hard at the time as well so that made it tougher. I haven't been doing hard training for about 7 weeks now but was still feeling very tired and lethargic.  Well, a few days ago, all of a sudden, I feel like I have so much energy!  I am motivated to do things and do not constantly think about when I can catch some sleep.

I know I read a post on here from someone else saying that it took about 3 months and then you start to feel better and I'm here to say the same thing!  I'm so relieved - I'm really feeling like I did pre-chemo again - normal!

So hang in there ladies - your life will get back to normal!

Thanks, that is good to know. I do feel kind of tired in the morning when I wake up. As if I have not slept well, even if I did. So, hopefully that will get better when I am done with the Herceptin. Though I need to continue with an aromatase inhibitor for the next 5 years or so.
