Looking for some advice please re my skin mets.

They stopped responding to tykerb/xeloda, I was on a trial here in England.

During the lull in changing treatments (now on aromasin and back on herceptin) they progressed a little more and are in fact worse than before any treatments!

One of them began to blister and (must admit I put some antiseptic cream on it) it split and bled then healed over. Today the scab came off in the shower it's been a little sore but is mending.

I'm due back at clinic on Monday 1st June to see onc and have next herceptin.

Is there anything I can put on this tiny met to dry it up in case it blisters again or do I leave well alone?

Many thanks

Jackie

Leave it alone and don't cover either.  I have several open wounds from my IBC there is a cream you can put on but it is for prescription only. This only treats top layer and not below.

    Thanks for that floridalady :)

Could you tell me the name of the cream?

I'm being treated at the London Marsden and would like to mention it.

    Aldara 5% cream

You apply once a day for 5 days, wait week and do it again.

Another cream you most get from Germany is Miltrex (spelling?)
