Recovery time for Delayed Tissue Expander Reconstruction

For those of you ladies who had delayed reconstruction (tissue expander/implant type) how was your recovery?  Did you have a hospital stay?  Days at home in Bed?  Were you able to return to work or other "light" activities within a week or two?

I am trying to set up my leave from work in July, but really don't have a good idea about how much time I'll need.   I had a double mastectomy last year with reconstuction and was home for 4 weeks.  Unfortunately, one expander and alloderm had to be removed due to infection.  My PS has told me we're basically starting over and I should consider this procedure similar to a delayed unilateral reconstuction.

Any experiences you can share would be most helpful. Thanks!

This is an old post but found it in my search on this same issue.   Anyone have experience with delayed unilateral tissue expander reconstruction and return to work time?    Any wisdom much appreciated!!
