Anyone fighting two cancers like me. I was diagnosed with breast cancer, stage 3, 8cm tumor 9lymph nodes infected. When I got my scan to see if metastasized they found it didn't however they did find another tumor which was this LMS sarcoma. Very rare. That tumor ruptured, I had it removed and now receiving aggressive chemo treatment, three days for 8hrs every three weeks. will then have 30 days or radiation. Wonder if I will beat this....anyone out there that can share information?

    Dear Ciannuzzo,

I am sorry for your problems with breast cancer and lyomyosarcoma (LMS). I do hope your oncologists took tissue for genetic/dna analysis on both to help them select your treatment regimen. Breast cancer is often sensitive to many chemotherapy's, so in that way their selection of chemotherapy's may overlap. Where is your sarcoma, if you don't mind my asking?

You might re-post your post under the second and third bc topic. True, yours is two differing cancers, but there are women and men who do indeed have two cancers and are doing well.

You certainly are going through a tough chemotherapy regimen (8 hours x 3 days every 3 weeks). The home site has lots of information on how to help get through chemo, and if you use the search here you'll find threads with good information.

I hope this helps a little, and am very sorry for your news. Please post often should you wish as this is a wonderful group of supportive people.

    My best to you,

    Tender
