Lack of support from husband

I mistakenly joined the wrong forum earlier, so I have already approached this subject with those members.    I guess whatever forum we're in, we all need the support of our husbands.   I haven't had that at all, and I'm wondering if there are others who share my problem.

Hi, there ~  I'm so sorry that you're having this problem with your husband.  Without knowing more about the situation, it's really difficult to offer any suggestions, but I know you're not alone, as there was another recent thread on the same topic.  I'll give you a link, in case you haven't seen it:

What do you do when your partner isn't supportive?

Obviously, it would be great to get to the root cause behind your DH's disappointing attitude, but if he won't talk to you or someone on your medical team (like the psychologist that most hospitals have in place to work with breast cancer patients), it's going to be hard to make any headway.  Has he ever been this way in the past?  Has your dx or treatment meant a significant change in or delaying of something he had his heart set on doing?  Not that anything excuses his lack of support, but I'm just trying to get a better picture of why he might be acting the way he is.

Hopefully, we can help you figure this out!    Deanna

Just checkin' in with you...how are you holding up? I hope you are finding great comfort out here. Hope you know that you are not alone and you will make it through.

Thanks to all of you; I feel better just being able to share this with someone. :)   This has been going on for four years, and I haven't thrown the towel in yet.   I'm one of those "strong" women; maybe that's the problem.    But even though I do know how to get on with my life, I would be so much happier if I had my husband there with me.
