I hope you don't mind if I crash this topic. I've been around bc.org for 6 years. Things have changed several times around here so I'm not sure where I can get the word out about our Komen team in Michigan.

Michigan bc.org friends and families are walking together for their fourth year with Team Wings of Hope at the Detroit Komen Race for the Cure. We would love to have more join us. We always just miss having the team with the most survivors.

This is how you join Team Wings of Hope:

Select the link below for the main page to sign up: Select the big pink Register Now Button. Be sure to look for "Wings of Hope" team. For the newbies, there is no pressure to fundraise. I know, the 3 day scares too many people away for that reason. This is $25.00 and we walk 5K (3 miles). If you are not up to walking, you can arrange to take the trolley and even get trolley gifts and a bird's eye view of the race. SEI took some of her best pictures when she was in a foot cast and took the trolley.

We meet after the Race at Hockey Town for lunch. Our team has grown through the years. It started with about a dozen of us survivors and expanded to 48 members two years ago. We had about 35 last year. So, please join us for a fun day for a good cause and be sure to invite your friends and families.

Team registration continues until May 12th. If you want to save postage, I will pick up t-shirts before the Race and we can arrange to meet or I can get the shirts to you Race morning. Please see the Michigan get-togethers topic for updates.
