SwimAngel....  gosh I can't wait to be where you are !  Awesome awesome awesome.   I just started down the chemo/herceptin trail.  Six rounds of chemo (one down) and one year of Herceptin.  I will have my second infusion tomorrow..  I already have the sniffly nose - can't imagine it going on for a whole year !   Best to you - keep us updated on how your feeling (we are living vicariously through you)  : )

    Swim -

This is a huge milestone for you! And for all of us. You help us to remember that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and that this is all temporary!!! I will have my last Herceptin on August 11 after a full year, and I will remember the picture that you posted, as that will be me!!! Thanks for posting that beautiful picture and your awesome journey!

    Journey-Girl -

My mantra during treatment was one down, 5 to go... As the treatments came and went (and they do, trust me) the count reversed itself...until 6 down, NONE to go!!! That was huge! FYI - the sniffly/runny nose seemed to stop in severity after each treatment. Since I have been on Herceptin only, it's usually only a day or two. Just remember to stay in the moment and take each day as it comes!

I love reading all of the posts on this site - and sharing our experience, strength and hope with each other!

Great advice Trixie - to stay in the moment - I still need to do that so I won't get too anxious thinking about my surgery on July 10th. And Journey-Girl how was your second infusion? What chemo are you getting with the Herceptin? I hope you have absolutely no problems at all, other than the sniffly nose (mine has FINALLY stopped!)
