need some suggessions on physical therapy after Tram Flap

I am post Tram free flap bilateral 7 weeks now. i cannot raise arms above my shoulder much. i went to physical Therapist..she says she would like to do aggressive physical therapy. she was stretching my arm so much it was hurting very bad. i lost 13 lymph nodes on my right side. I scared whether i will get lymphedema. when it hurts so much means it is causing some minor injury and inflammation. An Inflammation draws lymph.. I told that to the PT..she says  going slowly is not going to be effective...she is going to talk to the Plastic surgeon..when i went to visit him last he said that the physical therapist can bring range of motion in 3 weeks..now My breast  surgeon who did the mastectomy said...not to do anything that cause any inflammation..or injury..i am confused now ..I don't want to develop Lymphedema to get range of motion...!!!!!!
