Did anyone feel that your lump get bigger after biopsy? or with swelling tissue around the lump? It's been more than 1 week after the biopsy and my lump seems to get bigger and there are lots of swellon tissue around....

    How did you feel?

Who got the lump size after surgery as similar as ultrasound detected?

    Thanks

I hear you on this one!  I had THREE doctors try to feel my lump that was caught on a mammo.  Not one of them could feel it.  I had a core needle biopsy and low and behold the next day you could feel it without even trying.  I had lots of internal bruising and it swelled up pretty big.  It stayed that way for a month- (the surgeon didn't even have to put a wire in to locate the lump before surgery because she could feel it so well).  I did not have an ultrasound so I can't help you on that one.  Some of us just seem to bruise easily- but if it keeps swelling or hurts really bad you probably should go see your doc.  Good luck- Tami

    Hi

My first lump was 2cm on mamo 3.5 cm after surgery.  My second lump was 2.2cm on ultrasound, but 2.8cm on ct scan 2 weeks later.  I dont think it has grown in that time since my symptoms started last August, I think that mamo and ultrasound are 1 dimensional and dont get an accurate impression of size.

My current lump seemd smaller after core biopsy, as my symptoms lessened (burning in arm similar to post op pain first time) but 2 weeks on and my symptoms are back with a vengance, like its grown suddenly over the last week.

I put it down to psychology, now I know its there I sense it more, both physically and psychologically??
