Titch, Lassie- I have followed the boards as a lurker after some brief initial posting. Always learned, and usually laughed, much and felt supported in knowing that we were going through this thing together.

Titch-I am sorry that you have to deal with mets but I know that with your spirit and wonderful sense of humor, you may have cancer but it doesn't have you. I'll continue to pray for you as I have been for all of us since my diagnosis and awakening to the enormity of the problem.

    Titch:

I hope you are ok and will post soon.  I posted over on the palliative care board, hoping you would see the post and perhaps send us a few words as to how you are doing.  I'm praying all is fine, and will add this to my favorites so I can see if any new posts appear.  Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

To all my other fellow "May Marvels" that stop by, I send my love and share deep memories with you, memories I can't even share with friends of 50 years - and will always cherish that we had each other to hold onto during the most horrid of times.  I hope you are all well and thriving, and that each of us lives every day of our lives to the fullest.  God bless us all,

    Linda

I have been thinking a lot about the "May Marvels" as we approach our 5 year anniversary. I am deeply sadden by the loss of some our sisters that fought bravely but lost the battle. I am hopeful that some of our friends that continue to battle will get all the strength they need from all their sisters that continue to pray for them. For those that have experienced bliss from these words "you are cancer free" continue to fight to stay healthy. Your words of wisdom and support help many of us through the darkest hours and allowed us to see there is light at the end of this tunnel. I will remember my Pink sisters for the rest of my life. God Bless~! Diana

    Hi May Marvels,

On the boards for the first time in a long while since I just tested positive for Chek2 gene mutation. Nearing 5 years since we began chemo. My chemo ended in 10/09. Reconstruction surgery in 12/09. Hysterectomy/Oopherectomy in 12/10 when Tamoxifen wasn't controlling my estrogen levels. Surgeries to repair Dequervain's Tenosynovitis caused by Tamoxifen and then AI - in 12/10 and 01/12. Recently switched to Exemestane from Anastrazole. Still having major S/E's. Concerned about the increased risk of recurrence with Chek2. If any of you are on here...post an update please! Good to see your post Diana.

Good to hear from you benisse.  It has been on my mind too that we are approaching the five year mark.  My hope is that by August (or earlier if I whine a lot) I will finish with Femara/Letrozole and see great improvements. Otherwise, all is well.

In the five years since finishing chemo I have had the great joy of watching my granddaughter who was born just a couple weeks after I finished. She and her older brother live very nearby with their parents (my DD and SiL) and are a great joy to me. I got to see my older son married and pursue his academic goals, and my younger son has moved along well in the career of his choice.  I've also travelled for the first time in forever and had some interesting trips.

While, I am painfully aware that some of our members have not done as well, I hope others amongst us have had the good fortune to carry on carrying on.

    Ladies,

I don't know if anyone still checks here or not, but it is with deep sadness that I must tell you that our dear Titch passed away today. She fought a hard battle and I admired her spirit and her positive nature right up until the end. Rest in peace, our sweet sister. You will be dearly missed.

    Mary
