Need some encouragement and prayer

I was diagnosed with BC on my 40th and had a double mastectomy with delayed recon.  They put in tissue expanders 3 months after and then 3 months later I had the exchange surgery.  The PS rushed through my surgery and unfortunately the result was not successful.  He told me I should be more than happy that I am just healthy as I am not the same woman anymore. I have also had to undergo traumatic dental treatment at the same time that is not coming to a good outcome.  I love the Lord so much but my faith is being tested beyond measure.  Sometimes I feel that he has forgotten about me.  I struggle to hang on as I face a revision surgery and the continuing dental problems.  I am never a Debbie Downer but find myself struggling to understand God's purpose.  I am a strong person but everyone has their breaking point.  Please pray for strength and a good ending to this whole ordeal.

    Sweekcheeks66,

I am so sory to hear that you are having a hard time.  It is not our Lord's desire to see us suffer and He will bring you through this.  Please come to these boards often and PM me whenever you wish.  No, God has not forgotten about you.  You are his precious, precious child.  When He seems farthest away he puts the rest uf us at your fingertips.  His purpose - many times we don't ever know but stay in His Word, ask here, family, friends, church family, Pastor for prayer and call on Him often - He will hear.

Please stay connected, letting us know as often as possible how you are doing.

    Your Sister-in-Christ

    Happy 40th huh! Crappola!

Me too sister! 40th year sucked for me...

Well... I have talked with MANY women who do re-dos with their Implants and the are HAPPY after! I get the mouth issues too... during chemo my teeth broke.. well I  had to wait till after Chemo to deal with this.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOO.. I end chemo... have my teeth pulled and others filled... GAG.. then a bi-lat a few weeks later.. I was Debbie downer then.. and I am proud I was. I never was the person to get down.. but darn it.. it was MY LIFE and it SUCKED then.
You just cry and whine all you need here.. after all.. you have been through hell too!

    GODS LOVE!
    Laura

Thank you everyone for your kind words.  It's really nice to know I'm not alone.  Patoo - you are an angel from God - thank you for reminding me I have my family in Christ :)  I am set to go back to the dentist for 4 crowns in 2 weeks - pray for me!  After almost a year of dental work I am looking forward to it being over.  Tender - thank you for reaching out, I truly appreciate it.  Laura - you are my sister from another mother - it is such a good feeling to know I am surrounded by so many amazing women who get it.  Sending all of you a huge virtual hug!

sweetcheeks66 ~  I just came across your post today, and wanted to reach out and tell you how sorry I am that you've had the problems you have.  But, as you know, sometimes God works in mysterious ways, and I'd like to think that perhaps this situation will lead you to a new surgeon who will be able to offer you significantly better reconstruction, which is kind of what happened to me when I ran into a complication with my original BS & surgery.

As far as understanding God's purpose, sometimes I think that's impossible to discerne when we are going through trials, and it's only weeks or months or years later that His purpose is revealed to us.  So, don't be too hard on yourself for not being able to make sense out of what's happened, and for now, just focus on finding an excellent breast reconstruction surgeon (if you haven't already), and just continue to trust that God always has been and is still on your side.

I am going to add you to my prayer list, and pray that you will feel renewed strength and peace of mind about the future.  Thinking of you ~ Deanna

I agree with Deanna, we cannot, actually will not, ever know all.  God's work is mysterious and the best way to understand as much as possible is through much prayer and studying of His Word.  Some things will be revealed but others not until we are standing before Him.

Sweetcheeks66 - back to dentist this week, right.  Almost done - YAY!
