Beginning of End
Dear ladies,
I'm Maya's sis and forwarding a message from Maya as she is unable to at this time.
Dear ladies,
Sorry if I'm writing this in the wrong subject area as I've been sick and couldn't keep up with the controversy. If this type of writing offends I will finish writing here and move to palliative care. I must say I'll feel isolated there without all my old firends. Please, I don't wish to offend by hurting anyone's feelings.
Things have been going downhill since August when 3 chemos failed me; then rapidly and aggressively 2 more hormone treatments (Fasloclex, Aromasin) stopped. CT at the emergency showed my liver failing, pushing on my lungs, against my diaphraghum and stomach. The tumours were next shown to take over innumerable spots on liver (more bile-duct tumors than regular liver tumour). SO I am not giving up just moving on to a different plane and would love some prayers and supports along the way.
One word of advice - I thought this would be the worst of times but is turning out to be the best - because of planning. I am out lounging out in palliative with my DH, my DF besides me giving me the very best of care. The care in here is FABULOUS. I appreciate every gesture.

Dear Maya's sister.....I live in Conception Bay South and met Bernice (Maya) in person a few times at various events although we "met" first here on these boards. I didn't see your post of April 6 but I saw the notice in The Telegram tonight and immediately checked here, hoping it wasn't her. Bernice was a very strong person and I know she was happy with her life...not happy to have cancer of course but she had come to terms with it I think. She was an inspiration to the people on these Boards and helped many, I'm sending sympathy and hugs to your family.

Love, prayers and hugs to you and your sister. I hope you find peace.

Oh my GOD !
My heart goes out to the family ! Stay Strong and remember !!!
-
Big hugs to you. She isn't going away but is in your heart. My best.
