Merilee... I just notices you're a Michigander too! Now the big question...

My daughter attends MSU so I am a Sparty by association LOL
-
Yeah!!! I knew I liked you Merilee
We are a house divided...lol My husband is a big Wolverine fan and I'm a die hard Spartee... lol Both of my brothers went to MSU so I spent a lot of time on that campus~

Arnie, it rained today until about 2 pm and will rain again tonight and tomorrow. One heck of a weather pattern we are stuck in!
Hello to the Spartans, Svcarlet Nights, Checkums Pigs and to everyone else!
-
Sure hope you escapees are able to enjoy a quiet peaceful evening with your family. For some reason my pic from photobucket spread from California to New York City
But you all can just picture what it was like. Beautiful swaying palm trees, orange glow of the sun going down, cool breeze blowing through your hair and drinking a big ole ........................ICEE

Back to "real life" today.
No Giles the waiter. No blueberry coffee cake awaiting on the counter, with lace doilies. No gazebo out the window with ducks ambling happily about. No platters of the freshest fruit being served. No giddy girlfriend laughter. No steaming egg bake with potatoes and peppers.
Memories. Sweet memories.
Literally, sweet memories!!
It was indeed a GRAND escape.
Now I'm jumping on the plane and following to that island getaway. Sure hope that I didn't miss the boarding announcement, in my hazy lazy attitude.
(p.s. Arnie. One of the songs I've written & recorded is "Easy Breezy" but I've just fallen in love with your 'yippee-skippie' above...... will need to incorporate that into my lexicon.)
-
OOOOOOOOOOOhhhhhhhhhhh let me know the lyrics when you are done. My gs loves music... My dh gave him a M3P player and it has alot of childrens songs on it.. We love to watch his head bob to the music when he's listening to it...
I have nooooooooo music ability at all, my dh plays guitar and harmonica and my daughter plays flute, guitar and has an incredible singing voice...so hopefully the little gs is gonna take after them...

Good morning escapees! It's Friday........where's everyone escaping to today? I think I've GOT to finish up on my list of "things to do" for this week. Still getting dd settled back home from college, took car for oil change yesterday, pool is looking better. I'll post before and after pics of that. It went from dark green sewer looking water, now to lighter green sewer water, and hopefully tomorrow, it will be clear blue. Keeping our fingers crossed. I'm escaping on the 20th to New York City. Can't wait!!! Only been there once, so it should be fun. DD has a list a mile long of stuff for us to do. whew.............I'm old!
