Are you supposed to get tighter as you heal?  I had a bilateral mastectomy with insertion of expanders.  It was a skin-sparing mx.  I lost the expanders due to infection.  I plan to try reconstruction again but as time goes on it feels tighter and more drawn in - is this normal?  If, in 9-12 months when I try to have reconstruction again will all the skin 'spared' be sucked in so that expanders will really hurt - a lot?

I would appreciate the voice of experience as I am clueless.
