Enlarged Heart

I had mt first post treatment MRI 2 weeks ago. The first call from the onc's office stated everything was normal. I got a call on Monday and the  MRI showed an enlarged heart! I have had 4 rounds of TC and rads to the left side.

Onc's office said it could just be the position I was in and that it was an MRI for the breast not the heart so it could be nothing to worry about. The office was supposed to schedule an echocardiogram on Monday,  but they lost the paperwork so I have to wait until next Monday. When the scheduler was setting up the appt she looked at docs orders and it stated "schedule today"(meaning 3 days ago). So now I am getting a little freaked out that this is something more urgent than they implied.

I had an MRI a year ago so am guessing that they compared the 2 and noted the enlarged heart.

Anyone else have anything like this?

    Hi Gramadeb,

I do have heart ultrasounds and even these tests at times allow better visualization than others. I would think if the MRI was for the breast it may be possible that the heart was seen in a less direct manner like your doc said. Nevertheless I hope all involve work to resolve the question as soon as possible.

Looks like you have your hands full with lovely grandchildren.

    My best to you,

    Tender
