Did you know that all cell phone numbers will go public next week???......Well, here is the number to call to stop all telemarketers from calling your home for the next 5 years...it is the National Don't Call list.........1-888-382-1222.......hope this helps....

Did you get an e-mail saying this?  This is an unfounded urban legend that is not true - cell phone numbers are not going public.  Please see the above link to snopes that checks out these things.

My sister told me about this......She  already receives a cell phone book from Verizon wireless with private cell phone numbers in it................

Even the Snopes page says the National Call Center number is legit, and it doesn't hurt to add your cell phone number to it!

I got the email going around in December, and found the Snopes page saying it wasn't true -- but I added my cell to "Do Not Call" anyway.  Just recently my son started getting telemarketing calls on his cell phone.

Until I read through the thread, I thought it meant stop telemarketers from trying to sell  by telling them you have breast cancer! LOL. I actually did stop one last week that way. She was trying to sell me health insurance. When I told her I have cancer but still would like to receive coverage from her company (I have coverage elsewhere, I was just yanking her chain) , that stopped her dead. End of call.
