Jule--Las Vegas is another of my favorite places. I'm not fond of heights either but one of our most awesome experiences was a night-time helicopter ride down the strip. It was so amazing I didn't give one thought to being scared and was so sorry when it was over.

Oh, be sure to see the lobby of the Bellagio! The glass will take your breath away. Also, the chocolate store there.
-
Junie-I looked at those night flights over the strip as an option...I absolutely love the lights, but just cant bring myself to do it
...Iodine-I will be sure to go to the Bellagio....my sweetie is a chocoholic so Im sure it wont take much to convince him to check out that store!! Thanks for the tip!!!!
Im really looking forward to this trip....I want to do something really spectacular to remember it by just because "I'M HERE TO DO IT!!".
I know that comment makes sense to all of you ladies so keep sending me ideas...
Also I would like ideas on something really really special to buy as a momento of this trip....any ideas there?

Hey Jule...A few months before I met my guy, he had taken a trip to Vegas and seen many of the sites. The most outstanding for him was at the Bellagio, the Cirque de Soleil show "O." Here's a link: http://www.cirquedusoleil.com/lasvegas/en/shows/o.asp He said that it was truly breathtaking and amazing!
For my upcoming year, I'm getting my boob filled in (implants on 4/9), getting back to figure skating or dance (can't decide), trying every new water sport that I can find, getting several more classes and events going for our new North Carolina Triangle Team Survivor, and beginning a certificate at Duke in Alternative Healing. But mainly, I'm just embracing life with all of the fervor I have and enjoying every single moment! Come to think of it, I'd like to do that for every year to come!

Hey Marin, long time not talk!!!!
You look wonderful in your new pic....glad to hear things are going well for you....Are you still seeing the guy you were seeing a bit back?
Sounds like your life is as busy as every....
I find myself looking forward to different things I want to do in the next few years now too....must mean we are finally moving on?

I got a little diamond - actually still would like it a little smaller so I will switch it out after it heals (few months)
I had 2 tats pre bc and just got the one in my avatar "hope" on my wrist. My hubby and I are getting "Long May She Run" on the arch of our foot(s) after our next road race (which I am painfully not ready for but am doing it anyway!)
I am trying to live with intent. Whether it be intentionally being lazy or intentionally traveling, etc. Not such a bad thing

Thanks so much for starting this thread!!! I'm approaching my one year symptons and dx and feeling a wide range of emotions. I'm so glad I have these discussions boards to go to share with others that have been in the trenches this past year.
I like the idea of getting my nose pierce. I asked my plastic surgeon if I could get my "new nipple" on my reconstruction side pierce and he said ABSOLUTELY NOT! I've learned that a sense of humor definitely helps! I'm also planning a trip to San Antonio, TX this summer.
I'm trying to live in the moment, focus on my health and remission and appreciate the NOW!
Take good care everyone!
Hugs to all,
Amy

I have quit working and my husband and I have decided to use our savings now while we are healthy enough to travel and enjoy ourselves.Cancer has shifted our priorities to now instead of later.Online shopping is a great way to travel within a budget especialy off season.
-
Good for you mumayan!!!
If I had some savings I'd do the same...lol
