This was wierd... hopefully someone out there will have some information... I found a lump about a month ago on my tram flap side... upper axilla area... saw the oncologist yesterday and she said either a node or a tumor ..but said more tumor cause it was high... she got me in this morning to have an ultrasound and needle core biopsy.. in which I had... The ultrasound picked it up right away.. like a nickle size to the touch.. not too deep..but you had to push in  to feel it... The radiologist came in explained the procedure.. novacained me up and made a little incision.. inserted the needle which I saw on the screen into the lump and click click went the instrument and (BAAAM) as Emeril would say the lump disappeared....he exclaimed oh my gosh it is gone...!! I looked up at the screen and he was right... GONE... he dug around for awhile trying to locate it and decided it was a cyst.. he only got a tiny tiny thin sheeth to biopsy .. hopefully it is enough.. he said he had never had this happen to him before.. that it is not usual that you have a cyst in a tram flap in that location.. and that the ultrasound showed it had lots of sound  vibration so he was surprised..This is a MAJOR cancer research hospital in so cal.. so he does breast biopsies all day long.. SOOOO my question is ? Did they release some icky cancer junk into my system by popping this thing accidently.. Or is this some wierd never to happen again thing! Or has anyone out there heard or had this happen to them? I will get pathology on Monday, that is if they got enough to test... Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Sounds like a cyst to me.......Sometimes cysts show up as solid on ultrasounds...I had one show up on a vaginal ultrasound......Good luck and fingers crossed for B9 results!.........
