So sick of being in pain!

I had 16 treatments of chemo (AC and Taxon), got a staph infection from reconstructive surgery (4-1/2 weeks of heavy IV antibiotics), have been on Herceptin since August of last year, am currently in radiation, and took Arimidex for 6 weeks before stopping it because of bad insomnia.  I had arthritis before all of this (even though I am only 43), but starting getting all over body pain during the IV antibiotics. It hurts to walk, to go up and down steps, to get up from a sitting position, to sit on the floor with my kids...... This is each and every day. Does anyone else suffer from this? I PRAY it goes away after all of these treatments stop and my body has a chance to heal.

I am not going through what you are going through but I really feel for you. I was diagnosed Dec 18th 2008, had my mast/expander in Jan and I get new boobs this Tuesday. BC was a shorter expereince, no chemo but I was tired of the process. I can't imagine what you are going through but my heart goes out to you. I don't like pot but I do know some use it for pain, not sure if that is an option for you as I hate being stoned so it would be a last option for me. Hope you feel better soon.

    Hugs,

Cathie, it will get better the farther out from treatment you go.  I am 5 years out but still on arimidex and still have joint pain and underarm pain.  Everyone is so different but I know each year gets better.  God bless you girl.  gentle hugs. sherry
