Hope for Marriage

I was just reading with astonishment about all the marriages that fall apart due to breast cancer. Then I was reading on this site that some people want to legislate the people in California. I guess I just don't understand voting for another state or trying to influence another state.
I posted in here because I think having a marriage is between one man and one woman. I have cousins who live near Shasta Cal... and they say that the South Californians don't want gay marriage either but `North California does.
I think they should all think what the bible says.
