Is there anyone who can help me? The docs found metastasis in left supraclavicullar lymph nodes but the breast tumour is <1mm as petscan shown and there are NO cancerous axillary lympth nodes. How can it happened?

The lymph system is all interconnected. The cancer cells migrate to the lymph fluid and stop wherever they happen to. In most (but not all) cases, it happens to be the axillary nodes because they are usually the closest. For the same reason, cancer cells sometimes skip the sentinal node and then show up in the axiallary nodes.

Where on your breast was the tumor?

I too showed this in my supraclavicular nodes on my pet.  When I went to get radation, the Unversity Hopsital reviewed my PET in detail and they said they were dismissing that finding.  They did not believe I had mets in these nodes.     When I had radiation that had to make the determination whether to include the nodes in the radation or not.   They firmly believe these nodes were not involved.   I would ask for a second opinion on that finding.

Unfortunatelly the docs made a surgery and took out the supraclavicular nodes where they found they were cancerous HER2+. They then didn't know there was a tumour in the breast because non the mammography or needle exams show anything. They misdiagnosed the situation and said it was salivary cancer! The salivary gland was taken out by false..Afterwards petsan shown a <1mm tumour in the left breast under the armpit that made all this problem in supraclavicular nodes.

    thanx for your advices..
