Soething comfortable. Maybe a shirt that is button up because you might have drains and this style shirt is easier to manuver with drains.

No make up, nail polish or perfume.

    Basically I wore PJ's..lol

    ~* Good luck 8 ~

Wear a button-up shirt. Sweat pants. Slip-on shoes like clogs. Bring a pillow that you can put between yourself and the seat belt.

Ya...so an button up shirt! I went to Walmart and got one for like 5 bucks. doesn't have to be pretty. Because of the draing and stuff...might get messy.

I also took a fanny pack with me to hold the drains and it worked great.  I got it at WalMart.  It was pretty large, so it held all six of my drains.

    another alternative is safety pins.

drain is taped with criss cross of cloth tape, then you can safety pin the cloth tape to the shirt or a shoelace tied around the waist, makes it easy to drain etc.  Hope all goes well.

An over-sized button up shirt and slip- on shoes (my hubby put my socks on for me).  I had a surgery bra and I pinned the drains to that.  After I got home, I wore pj's that buttoned up and pinned the drains to the side seams of the pj's.

I agree with all the others on the button up shirt, a mans oxford works great.  I also needed a pillow for under my arm.  I found a ladybug pillow and it was my best friend for a month as I could not put my arm down to my side because of the pain from the axillary node dissection.  If you are having a sentinel node done then you probably won't have that much pain.  I was not a candidate of the sentinel node because I had a large palpable  lymph-node so I had to have a full axillary done.  The drains( I had 2) fit nicely in the pockets of the oxford, very roomy and comfortable,

Because its all about comfort .

Absolutely wear sweats or pull on pants, button down comfy shirt, and slip on shoes. The hospital had me wearing a surgical bra that had velcro to hold the drains to the bra. Make sure everything is comfortable. Good Luck!

I agree something comfortable, preferably soft and button up.  My sister helped me with that tremendously.  You'll want the button up sweaters because of the drains.  I had 2 that fit into the camisole vest made of cotton.  Sweat pants also work wonders!!!
