My very honest 78 year old neigbour said I was fat now.
Yup he's greek and calls it like he see's it. He hasn't seen me in about a month and was so surprised he just "YOUR FAT NOW" I said yup and I'm living on oatmeal and tea. And I keep gaining weight, I'm throwing in the towel and going on laxitives and fluid pills, I can't stand it anymore. Last night I was up with the hickups three times. None of my clothing fits, and I look seven months pregnant now, anyone else? By the way I love my neighbour, he didn't mean to rude he was just surprised.

OMG! What else! Sorry, sweetie!

After four months of daily decadron dosing, I can't fit into any of my clothes, either.
Fortunately my neighbors keep their shock over my expando-body to themselves. Don't let what this dude said get you to make unwise decisions. Laxatives and diuretics can quickly deplete important nutrients and cause electrolyte imbalances. Have you spoken to your MD about your GI concerns? I hope your neighbor develops some tact!
best wishes,
Lisa

Snowy i had a neighbor just like your little Greek guy...He passed away a few years ago...I miss him terribly!...He was such a great old guy............He had prostate cancer.....and was 80-something when he passed...Right up until a month before he passed he always was in his garden puttering around or climbing a ladder to cut limbs away from his home.....He was very active........And a great neighbor...........

I hear you about living on oatmeal and tea, and still not losing the weight!!! What's up with the hiccups?!?! I get them all the time now. Does it have to do with the herceptin?!?! Tina

hollyann your Greek neigbour sounds just like mine, he's out puttering and planting and he's now getting sick, tomorrow I'm taking back to his family doctor. He's lost so much wieght in just a few months. I really hope it's nothing serious, but I asked the Dr. to take xrays and lots of bloodwork, he even has tremors now, it's really upsetting be is such a stinker and lots of fun but he is in alot of pain now and I hope that we can at least get him a nurse/househelper in everyday for couple of hours.
ejij, I have changed from oatmeal and tea to lots of fruit and salads. I don't know what the hiccups are all about but my heartburn is tremdendous now. I am really hoping to lose weight now that it's summer and I can get out more now. This weight gain is ridiculous and has to go.
