Anyone In Columbus Ohio?
Hi all,
Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Dee I am 47, Dx in Jan. I'm waiting to have double mastectomy on March 9th. Was hoping to meet some sisters close to home for mutual support.
Love to you all, and I'm hoping that there is a cure for us all soon!

Hi Dee-
I lived in Columbus all my life until the last 3 years. My first mastectomy (left breast) was done in 2004 at Grant. My right mx was done in 2008, also at Grant. Where are you having your surgery? Who is your surgeon? How did you find your breast cancer? Good luck with your surgery. If I can be of any help or answer any questions, please let me know.

Hi, Dee. I'm not from Ohio. I had a double mastectomy about 7 years ago. If there's anything I can answer for you, I'll do my best. When were you diagnosed.

Hello Baywatcher and Obamaispresident,
I was dx in Jan after having anual mamo in November 08 and diagnostic mamo in Dember 08 and lumpectomy in January 09. I will be having double mastectomy in March with immediate recon.
Kinda just tired of waiting. Ready to get this over with already!
Thanks for the responses, I will keep you posted on my progress.
Thanks again ladies:)

The waiting was the worst part (I'm ObamaisPresident I just changed my name since everyone already knows he's prez.) of the whole cancer journey. You seem to have waited much longer than I did. I was dx in sept, had a lumpectomy, then had bilateral mastectomy in October -- it was about a month between dx and last surgery--- which seemed life FOREVER to me. I think I'd be climbing the walls if I had to wait 3-4 months.

Hello all~
I had my bilat mastectomy,SNB and tissue expanders on Monday the 9th. Feeling pretty good except I feel like I've done a thousand push-upsI was called Friday afternoon and given my final pathology results. They got all of the cancer and all 18 nodes came back clean. No chemo,no rads. WWOOOOHHHOOOO!!! I can't wait to party! Good luck to all and God bless!
