I am not sure how this works, but for all of you who in the past have been kind and comforting to Annette, my most heartfelt thanks. Annette died Saturday Jan. 31 from liver metastisis after having beaten breast tumors, lymph tumors, and bone metastises.

She was diagnosed on Tuesday and died on Saturday.

Annette asked me to post something for the husbands, boyfriends, significant others, or other male relationships. I supose she wanted me to share how I coped with her situation and supported  her to the very last second. Perhaps I will be able to do so in the near future, but for now, with her memorial service just hours away, I am having great difficulties coping with the  extinguishment of the light of my life, indeed the very essence of my life.

I again thank all of you for your kind help.

Warren

    She was amazing.

She told me to write a book.  She read a post I wrote, and instructed me to start writing.  She had no idea that she had tapped into a life-long dream.

I will write that book, and it is going to be dedicated to her.  She was just incredible.  I had hoped to be life-long friends with her.

Love and peace to you.  I know you are hurting.  We are here to help carry you through if you would like.

    Love and prayers, Deb

    Dear Warren,

I am so sorry for your loss -- I am sorry to the nth power.

"I had hoped to be life-long friends with her" -- that says it for me, too. (You can tell why Annette recognized Deb, above, as a fellow writer.)

There will be flowers tomorrow, from me and Deb and others -- just the smallest of expressions, but I hope it will help you feel that we are there  (and I hope it will help me feel that I am there).

I am so sorry for your loss, and her daughters', her mother's, her brother's -- and for Annette's loss -- that really hurts -- she said over and over again that she had the life she wanted and had worked for, and how much she loved it,

Please know that you are in my thoughts,

    Ann

    Warren,

My heart goes out to you and Annette's family.  I only knew her from this site but it was easy to see, right from the start, what a wonderful, vibrant, intelligent, special woman she was.  I feel a tremendous loss so I can only imagine what you are feeling.

My thoughts are with you today and over the weeks and months ahead.

    Warren,

My heart goes out to you and all of Annie's family ~ I am heartbroken, too, as are so many women she has touched here at bc.org.  I wish you comfort and peace, and am hopeful that memories of your wonderful time with Annie will be healing to your heart.  My thoughts are with you all.

Warren, when the time is right for you, we will welcome any of Annie's wisdom that you can share with us-- bless you and thank you for your post.

I am so very sad to hear of Annie's passing.  We will all miss Annie's presence here on bc.org so very much!  I loved her posts which she articulated with intelligence and humor, all in her own unique style.  Annie brightened our world and kept us sane.

I send my sincerest condolences to you and the rest of Annie's family and friends.  Thank you for sharing her with us.

Warren, thank you for posting.  Annie was a very special woman and I enjoyed so many of her posts.  She was a ray of sunshine, a breath of fresh air and a stalwart supporter to so many here on the boards.  She is missed.  My condolences on your loss.

    Warren,

Annette was fortunate to have you by her side. I am 45 years old and was recently diagnosed with triple negative BC. I am fighting this battle alone and it is not easy. Find comfort from the support and love you gave Annette. The greastest gift of all is love!

Dear Warren....I have just now heard the news and am so very deeply saddened.  Please do write to the men in our lives when you have gathered yourself a bit.  My life partner (an MD !!) left me druing my radiation treatment after 13 years of love and life together...he simply couldn't manage...Annie is lucky to have had you and you...her.

Blessings and gentle hugs from Holly
