$17.00 an hour for an extra job sounds pretty good to me! 40 hours paid training, not bad. imo

there is a test of 28 questions, i took it and thought it was easy enough. i missed  1, a clerical question...oh well. i thought it was easier than the driver license test..:)))

Just an FYI.  I had a friend who did census taking and though she enjoyed it for the most part, she quit after a dog bolted out of a house and bit her.  Watch out for those critters!

There are also office positions available - not all are going house to house.

I worked the 1990 census in New York state in the office, doing data entry three nights a week. Monday was pretty good and we got a per diem adjustment for working the evening shift.
