Was wondering if anyone else has had somewhat high alkaline phosphotase levels while on herceptin? I have three more treatments to go. Will be finished with a year in May of Herceptin. My alk phosphotase levels have been high.

hi LJi3 and mm5    I have had no trouble with my white counts. They stayed within normal ranges. When I say my alkaline phosphotase is high- I mean that for me normal was between 81 and 95. But since starting chem on 4/ 08 they went up 20 points to 120. I finished chem , but get herceptin every 3 weeks and they have stayed consistently between 109 and 131. I am having a ct next week to determine what could be causing the elavation. But I just have this gut feeling that its the herceptin, and I am beginning to worry about liver damage. I just read a case report of a woman who had to go off herceptin because of elevated alk ph. I am starting to worry, because I don't know how high your levels would have to be before they would consider discontinuing the herceptin. Also I don't think there is much data about this, even for the doctors. That is why they are sending me for a ct, because they think it might be something else. Maybe I will call my doctor tomorrrow to find out how serious this elevation of alk ph is.I am freaking out, have been all day and yesterday.
